Merry Christmas and God Bless Us One and All!

Getting a jump on the New Year is not a novel idea but one I am adopting in creating this blog.  Although I have been designing needlework for several years, it has mainly been for myself, friends and local needlework guild.  With the encouragement of quite a few people, I think I am finally ready to throw my hat into the "professional designer" ring and go commercial.

Several years ago I attended a sampler exhibit in Baltimore at the Maryland Historical Society.  You may be familiar with the book "A Maryland Sampling" by Gloria Seaman Allen from which the exhibit was based.  Although all the samplers were wonderful, there was one in particular that just blew me away.  I always knew I would design a sampler inspired by that beautiful piece.  Below you will find a digital image of my inspiration from that sampler.  It will be no surprise that I've entitled it "A Maryland Inspiration".

I just finished stitching this yesterday and will post a picture before I take it to the framer.  I hope you like it.

Yours in stitches,

Theresa

  1. Hello Theresa,

I would VERY much like to purchase the Regal Bee smalls set and the lovely shaker box that goes with it. Can you tell me how to do that?
